The CW has released a trailer for the fifth season of its DC superhero series The Flash at the San Diego Comic-Con International.
The trailer focuses largely on Iris and Barry’s time-travelling speedster daughter Nora and her relationship with the couple, as well as teasing the season’s new supervillain Cicada, a man out for vengeance by destroying every metahuman. Cicada will be played by American Pie’s Chris Klein.
During the panel Tom Cavanagh revealed that he is set to play Sherloque Wells, an intelligent but untrustworthy character, while executive producer Todd Helbing also teased some new and returning villains for the series including a Gorilla Grodd and King Shark team-up episode and a younger version of The Rogues.

The Flash season 5 premieres on October 9th on The CW.
