Millie Bobby Brown hopes Eleven loses her powers in Stranger Things

August 22, 2018 by Samuel Brace

One of the stars of Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown, hopes that her character Eleven loses her powers.

There’s no question that Stranger Things is one of the most speculated about shows on TV right now and when it comes to what might occur in the much anticipated season three, this is doubly true.

One person who has a few hopes for what might occur in the future is Millie Bobby Brown, who stars as super-powered Eleven on the show. Speaking to Variety, the young actress described what she hopes happens to her character:

“I think Eleven should sacrifice herself in some way. That’s how I kind of want that situation to go. I want to have her really sacrifice her powers. If Eleven loses her powers, is she as powerful just as a character? I think that would be very cool. I want to build her to be a strong person without her powers…But right now it’s very about her powers and I think taking that away slowly could be cool.

“I don’t think she knows how to be a girl,” Brown continued. “She’s been looking like a boy for a very long time. They thought she was a boy in season 1. I mean, some of my friends now are like, ‘The first time I saw you I thought you were a dude.’”

Eleven losing her powers would certainly be an interesting plot element in the show and a huge deal for the character herself. The kids all really rely on Eleven for her abilities when push comes to shove so perhaps it would be fun to see what they resort to when that safety net is gone.
