Game of Thrones’ Iain Glen to play Bruce Wayne in Titans

April 12, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Game of Thrones star Iain Glen is set to swap Westeros for Gotham City, with Deadline reporting that the Scottish actor has signed on to portray Bruce Wayne, a.k.a. Batman, in the second season of DC Universe’s Titans.

Glen, who portrays Jorah Mormont on HBO’s epic fantasy series, is set for a recurring role as Gotham’s most famous son, with the official character description reading:

“After decades of fighting crime as Batman, billionaire Bruce Wayne is just as driven to protect Gotham from evil as he was in his prime. Needing to reconcile his relationship with Dick Grayson, the duo hope to forge a new dynamic as Bruce tries to help his former sidekick and the Titans achieve success.”

The 57-year-old Glen will be succeeding 18-year-old David Mazouz as the latest actor to portray Bruce Wayne on the small screen, with Mazouz set to complete his transformation into Batman in the series finale of Gotham, which airs later this month.

Glen is one of several new additions to the cast of Titans for its second season alongside Joshua Orpin (The Black Mysteries: Ghost Stories) as Clark Kent/Superboy, Esai Morales (Ozark) as Slade Wilson/Deathstroke, Chella Man as Joseph Wilson/Jericho, and Chelsea Zhang (Andi Mack) as Rose Wilson/Ravager.

Jason Todd actor Curran Walters has also been upped to a series regular, joining the returning Brenton Thwaites (Robin), Anna Diop (Starfire), Ryan Potter (Beast Boy) and Teagan Croft (Raven). The second season is set to debut on DC Universe later this year.
