Legend of Shara DLC comes to Tangledeep

April 5, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Impact Gameworks has announced the release of Legend of Shara DLC, the first full expansion for their old school roguelike dungeon crawler Tangledeep.  This brand new expansion will feature a whole host of new content, including a prequel story, a 13th job, new characters, new monsters and much more.  Check out the new trailer below…

The Legend of Shara is set before the story of Mirai, the game’s original protagonist, and follows the story of Shara as she sets out on a journey through the deep world of Tangledeep.  Unlike Mirai, Shara will not gain XP or levels but instead will be able to level up your core stats using Job Points.  New abilities can be gained in two different ways, by opening Pandora Boxes which give a choice of three random skills, and by resting at campfires.

The 13th job introduced with this DLC is the Cartographer.  Members of this profession are adept at runes and ancient writing and will be able to take down their enemies with powerful elemental scrolls and furious brushstrokes.

This brand new expansion will feature:

  • Shara’s Story: A brand new tale with a unique story, boss encounters, and new gameplay.
  • A thirteenth job, Calligrapher, gives players the ability to use elemental scrolls and devastating combo attacks.
  • Level Cap increase from 15 to 20.
  • Dozens of new Monsters with new powers that you can capture and tame.
  • Riverstone Waterway Start: A new early-game path with slightly more challenge and greater rewards.
  • Realm of the Gods: New post-game area with tougher monsters and champions.
  • Mysterious Wanderer: A brand new character to encounter and explore his new dungeons with bizarre creatures, scenarios and treasure.
  • Ancient Relics: New rare items with limitless combinations of legendary powers and bonuses.
  • Item Dreams: Twist and warp areas already visited with new events, monsters, items and objects.
  • Runes of Knowledge: A new set of tablets, which provide special abilities not found anywhere else.
  • New monster sprites, tile sets, layouts, item graphics, effects, music and more.

The Legend of Shara DLC is available now on Steam and GOG.
