Disney CEO confident that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be “extremely popular” with fans

May 15, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Bob Iger, the CEO of Disney, says that he is confident that fans of the franchise are going to be very pleased with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

We are only a matter of months away from the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker – the much anticipated final chapter in the Skywalker saga. The film arrives this December and fans around the world are hoping to see something special.

Well, Disney CEO Bob Iger is pretty confident that fans of Star Wars will love the film, saying the following at the MoffettNathanson 6th Annual Media & Communications Summit (via ComicBook.com):

“It’s our feeling that we’ve done a good job with [the Star Wars movies we’ve helped make]. I haven’t seen [The Rise of Skywalker] finished yet, but I’m confident, based off of the pieces that I’ve seen and the script that I read, that it’s going to be extremely popular.”

Fans were treated to the first trailer for the movie last month and with the film teasing a more skillful Rey, more Luke, the ruins of the Death Star, and the return of Emperor Palpatine, excitement is certainly starting to build.
