Bill & Ted Face the Music fills out supporting cast

June 29, 2019 by Gary Collinson

With filming now underway on Bill & Ted Face the Music, we have some additional casting news for the most triumphant follow-up to Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey.

As reporting by Variety, Amy Stoch will reprise the role of Bill’s stepmom Missy, with Hal Landon Jr. also back as Ted’s police chief father Captain Logan, the duo joining the returning Alex Winter (Bill), Keanu Reeves (Ted) and William Sadler (Death).

In addition to Stoch and London, the cast has also welcomed three new faces, with Beck Bennett (Saturday Night Live) cast as Ted’s younger brother Deacon, Jayma Mays (Glee) as Bill’s wife Princess Joanna, and Erinn Hayes (Children’s Hospital) as Ted’s wife Princess Elizabeth.

Also set to feature in the cast of Bill & Ted Face the Music are Samara Weaving (The Babysitter) and Brigette Lundy-Paine (Atypical) as Bill and Ted’s daughters, Anthony Carrigan (Gotham) as the villain and Kid Cudi (Need for Speed) in an as-yet-unrevealed role.

Following 1989’s Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and 1991’s Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, the stakes are higher than ever for William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. (Alex Winter) and Theodore “Ted” Logan (Keanu Reeves). Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure, when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe. Along the way, they will be helped by their families, old friends and a few music legends.

Bill & Ted Face the Music is being directed by Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest) from a script by original Bill & Ted writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon and is set for release on August 21st 2020.
