June 13, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Netflix has announced that Oscar-winner Geena Davis has signed on for a recurring role in the third season of its comedy series GLOW.

Davis is set to portray Sandy Devereaux St. Clair, the entertainment director of Las Vegas’ Fan-Tan Hotel and Casino, where the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling are headlining. She will appear in five of the season’s ten episodes.

Alison Brie leads the cast of GLOW as Ruth Wilder, a struggling actress who gets a shot at stardom as part of the roster of a women’s wrestling organisation. Also featuring in the cast are Betty Gilpin, Sydelle Noel, Britney Young, Britt Baron, Kate Nash, Gayle Rankin, Kia Stevens, Jackie Tohn and Marc Maron.

Season three of GLOW is set to premiere on August 9th.
