Capcom releases Teppen, a brand-new card battle game for mobile devices

July 7, 2019 by Liam Waddington

Capcom and GungHo Online Entertainment have released Teppen, a new card battle game for the North American and European App Store and Google Play Store. You can watch the trailer here…

Teppen features playable characters from throughout Capcom’s history including names from Street Fighter, Monster Hunter, Devil May Cry, Mega Man, and Resident Evil. The first main eight characters includes Ryu, Chun-Li, Rathalos, Nergigante, Dante, X (Mega Man), Morrigan Aensland, and Albert Wesker.

The game currently features three different game modes for its players – Solo Play, Ranked Matches (versus), and limited time Grand Prix battles (also versus). The Solo Play mode allows you to follow each of the eight hero’s stories as they will all be battling through the Land of Illusion to discover the truth behind their connected fates – although, I wouldn’t personally call Albert Wesker a hero.

The battles themselves are fast-paced with each round lasting five minutes. However, Teppen’s card battling system features an Active Response system, which allows players to change the game from a real-time battle that features dynamic action, to a more strategic turn-based experience.

Capcom have stated they will be adding more heroes from their diverse roster over time. Will you be picking up Teppen? Let us know in the comments below or tweet us @FMyth_Gaming…
