First trailer for Star Wars series The Mandalorian released at D23

August 24, 2019 by Ricky Church

After the release of the poster for the Star Wars series The Mandalorian earlier today, Disney has now revealed the first trailer for the anticipated Disney+ series at the D23 Expo, and you can watch it below…

We also have the more information regarding the roles of some of the cast. Gina Carano (Deadpool) plays Cara Dune, a former Rebel Shock Trooper who is attempting to reintegrate herself into post-war society while Carl Weathers (Rocky) is Greef, the head of a bounty hunter guild who hires Pedro Pascal’s Mandalorian bounty hunter for a specific job.

Meanwhile, during the annual Disney Legends panel, Disney CEO Bob Iger also revealed that Mulan and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Ming-Na Wen is heading to the galaxy far, far away with an as-yet-unrevealed role in the series.

After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

The Mandalorian sees Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) leading a cast that includes Gina Carano (Deadpool), Carl Weathers (Rocky), Nick Nolte (Afflication), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Emily Swallow (Supernatural), Omid Abtahi (American Gods), Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok), Ming-Na Wen (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man). It is set to premiere on Disney+ on November 12th 2019.
