The Purge season 2 adds Rochelle Aytes and Danika Yarosh

August 6, 2019 by Ricky Church

USA Network’s The Purge is set to introduce two more cast members, with Rochelle Aytes (Mistresses) and Danika Yarosh (Greenhouse Academy) signing on for roles in its sophomore season. The pair join Derek Luke, Max Martini, Joel Allen and Paola Nunez in the cast of the show, which is based on the hit film franchise and comes from Blumhouse Television.

The second season will see Aytes as Michelle Moore, “a woman who must rebuild her world after her peaceful existence is shattered when an assassin breaks into her and her husband Marcus’ (Luke) home on Purge night.”

Yarosh, meanwhile, will play Kelen Stewart, “a college student who tries to help her boyfriend Ben (Allen) process the horrors he witnessed on Purge night.”

The TV version of The Purge was a huge hit for USA Network, becoming its #1 drama with 2.3 million viewers in its first season.

Based on the hit movie franchise from Blumhouse productions, THE PURGE revolves around a 12-hour period when all crime, including murder, is legal. Set in a dystopian America ruled by a totalitarian political party, the series follows several seemingly unrelated characters living in a small city. Tying them all together is a mysterious savior who’s impeccably equipped for everything the night throws at them. As the clock winds down with their fates hanging in the balance, each character is forced to reckon with their pasts as they discover how far they will go to survive the night.
