A new nation arrives in World of Warships: Legends

September 14, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Wargaming has announced the first major update since their August release for World of Warships: Legends.  This latest update features a brand new nation to take into battle, with new ships, new commanders and more playstyles at players’ disposal.

The French Navy sails into the action with the French Cruisers arriving first and their Battleships appearing in early access.  The French Cruisers are at the very core of the fleet and are considered to be among the most capable cruisers developed within the limits of naval treaties.   Cruisers use great speeds to fulfill their objectives with vessels such as the Émile Bertin cruiser being able to speed around at an impressive 39 knots.

The French Battleships, currently in early access, are fast and able to respond quickly to threats with their quadruple-gun turrets, this makes them very versatile vessels to use.

To complement the arrival of the new nation, Wargaming has introduced a new “French Connection” campaign which gives players the chance to earn more commanders and a range of consumables, boosters, progression items and Francs just by completing tasks.  Francs can then be used to try and get early access to the French Battleships like the Lyon.

Finally, the update sees the arrival of German Battleships, including the remarkable Tier VII Bismarck, out of early access, a variety of quality of life improvements and the long-awaited 4K support for those lucky players with an Xbox One X.

This latest update is set to arrive on Monday 16th September.
