My Arcade announces Street Fighter II: Champion Edition Micro Player mini arcade cabinet

January 8, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Retrogaming company My Arcade has announced that Capcom’s classic fighting game Street Fighter II: Champion Edition is set to join the Micro Player line of mini arcade cabinets.

Street Fighter II: Champion Edition is the first update for the iconic Street Fighter II and includes the four Grand Masters as playable characters alongside the original eight fighters.

The Micro Player is a 1/10th scale replica of the original 1992 arcade cabinet, standing at 7″ tall with a 3.5″ screen and a widened control panel to accommodate the traditional six-button layout. It also comes with CO-VS technology, allowing players to connect two Micro Players for intense head-to-head battles.

The Street Fighter II: Champion Edition Micro Player will be released later this year, priced at $49.99.
