Diego Luna’s son wasn’t a fan of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’s ending

February 12, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Diego Luna, who starred as Cassian Andor in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, reveals that his son hated the film’s ending.

One of the Star Wars live-action TV shows that is currently in production is the Rogue One prequel starring Diego Luna in his role as Cassian Andor. Luna’s character perishes at the end of the original movie, however, and this was a big mistake in the eyes of the actor’s son.

Speaking on Conan during a recent interview, Luna revealed how angry his son was that he was killed off: “For an hour and 45 minutes I was the best dad. Then suddenly, my son was miserable. My daughter was asleep at the premiere so she didn’t realize I died. She was five years old. My son was devastated he was like ‘you’re the worst.

“Yeah it was so close to heaven but now it’s like ‘you’re done.’ Who’s in a film that dies in the first one, you know? He was pissed off. He looked at me like ‘You motherfucker.'”

Hopefully, the fact that the boy’s dad will be returning to Star Wars for the TV show now makes him feel a little better about things! Unfortunately, we are going to have to wait a while longer until the show arrives on Disney+.
