New city building game Smart City Plan arrives on Steam and GOG

March 6, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Developer Ambiera has released their new city building game Smart City Plan on Steam and GOG.  This modern city building game allows players to design and build their own perfect city, set taxes, arrange public transport and ensure the citizens live happy lives.

Smart City Plan is a city building game where players will need to create their city and create the perfect place to live for their citizens.  Players will need to plan out zones, create roads, railways, subways and hypertubes to ferry commuters, then write out laws and policies to ensure everything ticks over smoothly.  Players will also need to ensure they protect the environment by deciding on anti-pollution regulations.  Finally, would-be mayors will be able to implement smart city technologies that will lead their build into the future.

The game features:

  • A range of public transport, including trains, trams, buses, subways, hypertube and more.
  • Write a number of policies about energy and water usage, insulation, taxes, etc
  • Create laws about the environment, anti-corruption, pollution, speed limits and more
  • Enforce the usage of green living walls and make the city environmentally friendly.
  • Attract special industries like space companies to set up in your city.
  • Build an array of utilities and an intelligent road/rail building method to resolve traffic problems.
  • Unlock the game’s sandbox mode and place every building exactly where you want it.
  • Designate zones for commercial, industry, agriculture, office and 3 different types of residential areas.

Smart City Plan is available now on Steam and GoG.com for £12.39 / $15.99 USD / €13.29 with a 10% discount for its release week.
