Bullet hell platformer Iwate Mountain Dance now available on Steam

May 12, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Indie developer Kirisame Jump’s bullet hell platformer Iwate Mountain Dance is now available on Steam for PC and Mac.  Inspired by old school bullet hell arcade games, Iwate Mountain Dance will see players take on massive bosses in challenging multi stage battles.

Iwate Mountain Dance takes players to the densely packed world of Iwate where they are tasked with taking on unique multi-stage bosses in handcrafted fights.  There are fifteen bosses to tackle and these can be challenged in any order.  Every boss has their own attack patterns and intense combos and will become progressively stronger as players defeat their stages.

Each tightly packed level will be a pure test of skill, there’s no leveling up, no grinding.  Use strategy to identify the unique attack pattern of each boss then use skill to counter-attack.

Featuring:

  • 15 different hand-crafted, challenging multi stage boss showdowns.
  • No distractions from the objective, just finely-tuned fights to complete.
  • A soundtrack with unique music for every boss.
  • Local two-player coop and controller support.

Iwate is our take on the old-school difficulty of bullet hell arcade games, combined with the ultra-smooth platforming movement and free exploration from modern titles. Take on unique multi-stage bosses in a grand dance of handcrafted fights, each with their own attack patterns and intense combos, as you explore the lands of Iwate and learn its history.

Iwate Mountain Dance is available on Steam now for PC and Mac, priced £9.29.
