New Iron Harvest 1920+ video introduces the Saxony Faction

August 15, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Deep Silver and King Art Games have released a new video for their upcoming real-time-strategy Iron Harvest 1920+. This latest video introduces the Saxony faction and some of the units available to them.

Iron Harvest 1920+ is an alternate history of the early 20th century following events after the end of the First World War.  In this alternate universe the war to end all wars ended with immediate hostilities among the nations of Europe.  One of these nations was Saxony, located deep in the heart of Europe and controlled by Keiser Friedrich.

Saxony has a variety of deadly units and mechs named after creatures from dark fairytales.  Among them are the SLL-33 Erlkonig artillery cannon that has an exceptionally good range and can fire devastating barrages into enemy forces, the apparently weaponless MWF StiefMutter monolith that walks forward before releasing explosive mono-wheels that lock in on their targets and the PKP-17 Eisenhans troops in the exosekeleton armoured suits that carry heavy mortars into range of the enemy.

Gunther Von Dusberg is a highly decorated Saxony veteran of many battles and takes to the battlefield in the huge battle-mech ‘Brunhilde’.  Brunhilde has several cannons in her flanks and is capable of broadsiding enemies in their positions.  Outside of his battle-mech, Von Dusberg uses his large hand cannon and mechanically enhanced blade arm to dispose of his foes. He is supported at all times by his two deadly direwolves, Tag and Nacht.

Iron Harvest 1920+ is available to pre-order now.
