Xbox Games with Gold for September 2020 revealed

August 28, 2020 by Andrew Newton

I know many gamers have found the recent months offerings with Games with Gold a little disappointing but that won’t be the case this September as there are some great games heading our way.

Throughout September, Xbox One gamers can get their hands on Ubisoft’s Tom Clancy’s The Division.  Set in the near future after a deadly pandemic has taken a severe toll on the population of New York, this action title will see players take the roll of a Special Agent of the Strategic Homeland Division tasked with helping the organisation investigating the cause of the outbreak, combating criminal gang activity and rebuilding the country to regain some semblance of normality.

This action game with RPG elements offers destructible environments, plenty of opportunities to explore a mid-apocalypse Manhatten, a huge variety of gear and weapons and a great storyline that won over media and gamers alike.

From 16th September through to 15th October gamers can enjoy an adventure through the world of Aventásia with The Book of Unwritten Tales 2.  This point-and-click adventure will follow the story of gnome hero Wilbur Weathervane, Ivo, Nate and Critter as they take on an evil that once again threatens their world by making everything sickeningly cute.

The game features a cast of quirky characters, hundreds of challenging, logical yet odd puzzles and a wealth of humour that spoofs Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Discworld, The Hobbit, WoW and more.

Xbox 360 (and Xbox one through backwards compatibility) can paint the world in a variety of colours in deBlob 2. This colourful sequel sees the return of Comrade Black and the Inkies but this time in cahoots with the wicked Papa Blanc and his cronies, once more it’s up to Blob to ruin their plans for a white, fun-less world and paint the town red… and blue, yellow, green.

Ending the month will be the original Xbox classic Armed and Dangerous.  Lead a rag-tag squad of rebels on a mission through five diverse environments against psychotic robots, half human/ animal hybrids and more to save the world.

There’s still time to get August’s free games before the start of September so get gaming.
