The entertainment industry may have been on hold for much of the year due to the global health crisis, but the virtual 2020 awards season continued last night with the 46th annual People’s Choice Awards celebrating the best in pop culture from the past twelve months.
On the film front, Bad Boys For Life was named Movie of 2020, with Will Smith receiving Male Movie Star of 2020 for the action threequel, while there were also wins for Mulan (Action Movie of 2020), The Kissing Booth 2 (Comedy Movie of 2020), Hamilton (Drama Movie of 2020) and Onward (Family Movie of 2020).
Medical drama Grey’s Anatomy led the small screen categories as it was named Show of 2020, with other TV winners including Riverdale (Drama Show of 2020), Never Have I Ever (Comedy Show of 2020), Wynonna Earp (Sci-Fi/Fantastic Show of 2020) and Outer Banks (Bingeworthy Show of 2020).
