Felicity Jones wants Star Wars return as Jyn Erso

November 5, 2020 by EJ Moreno

Though she met an untimely demise in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Jyn Erso proved to be a force within the Star Wars universe. Actress Felicity Jones feels the same way, as she has big dreams for where the character could go next.

During a recent interview with THR, the Midnight Sky actress opened up about where she sees the heroic Jyn Erso if she were to return to the role, stating that: “I think it would be fascinating to see her getting older and wiser and fighting the dark forces in the universe, of which there are many it seems.”

Though Jyn Erso’s death at the end of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story could make this hard to pull off, she certainly wouldn’t be the first character to return from the grave in the Star Wars universe.

Jones’ co-star Diego Luna is even getting his own Disney+ show, set before the film’s events, so it’s not out of the realm of possibility that we do see Jyn back in some capacity. Jones went on to echo that sentiment in the same interview, adding:

“I just keep saying that reincarnation is totally possible in the Star Wars universe. So, I feel there’s unfinished business for Jyn, for sure.”

Would you like to see Jyn Erso back? Is there any possible way that Lucasfilm could pull it off? Let us know on our social channels @FlickeringMyth…
