The long-delayed Chaos Walking gets a first poster

November 13, 2020 by Amie Cranswick

Shot way back in 2017 before undergoing a round of expensive reshoots almost two years later, Doug Liman’s Chaos Walking is now finally on track for release in January, and Lionsgate has kicked off the marketing campaign for the adaptation of Patrick Ness’ dystopian sci-fi novel with the release of a poster featuring stars Daisy Ridley and Tom Holland. Check it out here along with the official synopsis…

In the not too distant future, Todd Hewitt (Tom Holland) discovers Viola (Daisy Ridley), a mysterious girl who crash lands on his planet, where all the women have disappeared and the men are afflicted by “the Noise” – a force that puts all their thoughts on display. In this dangerous landscape, Viola’s life is threatened – and as Todd vows to protect her, he will have to discover his own inner power and unlock the planet’s dark secrets.

Featuring in the cast of Chaos Walking alongside Holland and Ridley are Mads Mikkelsen (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Demian Bichir (The Hateful Eight), Kurt Sutter (Sons of Anarchy), Cynthia Erivo (Widows), David Oyelowo (Selma) and Nick Jonas (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle).

Chaos Walking is set for release on January 22nd, 2021.
