Ant-Man 3 titled Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Kang the Conqueror confirmed as villain

December 11, 2020 by Gary Collinson

During yesterday’s Disney Investor Day event, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige dropped some official news on Ant-Man 3, and – as previously promised by director Peyton Reed – Evangline Lilly’s Hope Van Dyne will continue to share top billing with Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang.

The third movie in the Ant-Man franchise will be titled Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and will feature the return of Rudd, Lilly, Michael Douglas (Hank Pym) and Michelle Pfeiffer (Janet Van Dyne), while Feige also confirmed past reports that Lovecraft Country star Jonathan Majors has signed on to portray the time-travelling villain Kang the Conqueror.

Meanwhile Big Little Lies and Freaky star Kathryn Newton was also announced as joining the cast and will take over the role of Scott’s daughter Cassie Lang, played previously by Abby Ryder Fortson in Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp and Emma Fuhrmann in Avengers: Endgame.

As yet, there’s no word on a release date for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania but it will presumably arrive alongside Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 at some point in 2023.
