Chris Pine knows the story of Patty Jenkins’ Star Wars: Rogue Squadron

December 30, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Wonder Woman 1984 star Chris Pine says he knows the story for Patty Jenkins’ Star Wars: Rogue Squadron and that he is excited for it.

Little is known right now about the next Star Wars movie, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, except that it is focused on fighter pilots and is directed by Patty Jenkins of Wonder Woman fame.

One person who does know, however, is Chris Pine, one of the stars of Jenkin’s Wonder Woman movies. According to Pine in an interview with Collider, Jenkins has told him the story for Rogue Squadron, even though he isn’t involved in the film himself:

“I had spoken to her about, not my involvement, but the story. She talked to me about it. It sounds really, really great. But I’m ecstatic for her, excited for what she’s about to embark on. If there’s anyone that can reimagine and breathe fresh, new life into it, it’s her.”

Jenkins is very passionate about pilot stories as her father was a fighter pilot himself. She has always wanted to direct a great pilot movie and is hoping that Rogue Squadron will be that film. Fingers crossed we are in for something epic when the movie releases in December 2023.
