Disney+ to launch ten Marvel series and ten Star Wars series

December 10, 2020 by Gary Collinson

The Walt Disney Company is currently holding its Disney Investor Day 2020 conference, with the virtual event kicking off with the news that the Disney+ streaming service is set to launch “roughly” ten Marvel series, ten Star Wars series, and fifteen live-action/animated and Pixar series “over the next few years”.

Presumably the ten Marvel series will include the ones we already know about – WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, What If…?, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk and Moon Knight – while there have been reports about other possible projects including a Nick Fury show.

On the Star Wars front, we have The Mandalorian plus the upcoming Cassian Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi shows, the animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and a live-action show from Russian Doll creator Leslye Headland, and rumours have been circulating about possible Boba Fett and Ahsoka Tano series.

Hopefully we’ll get some additional details on these series today as Disney’s Investor Day continues. You can watch the live stream here.
