Gal Gadot isn’t planning on a Fast & Furious return

December 30, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Before bringing Diana Prince to life in the DC Extended Universe, Gal Gadot was best known for her role as Gisele Yashar in the Fast & Furious franchise, appearing in the fourth, fifth and sixth instalments.

It was announced recently that the blockbuster series is set to end with two more instalments after the upcoming Fast & Furious 9, and during the press tour for her new film Wonder Woman 1984, Gadot was asked about the possibility of her reuniting with Vin Diesel and company before the franchise ends.

“Oh wow, I don’t know [if Gisele will reurn],” Gadot told MTV. “I have no idea. Right now it’s not on my to-do list.”

Despite being killed off in the sixth film, it wouldn’t be beyond the realm of possibility that Gadot’s Gisele returned to the franchise. She previously shot a deleted flashback scene for Furious 7, and its certainly not unprecedented for the series to bring back a character from the dead.

However, Gadot’s comments don’t suggest that she has much interest in revisiting the role, while she’s also got a pretty packed schedule ahead of her, with holocaust drama Irena Sendler, historical epic Cleopatra, action spy thriller Heart of Stone and a Hedy Lamarr limited series all on the horizon along with the newly announced Wonder Woman 3.
