Kevin Feige plays coy regarding Charlie Cox returning to the MCU as Daredevil

January 14, 2021 by Samuel Brace

When asked if Charlie Cox could return to the MCU as Daredevil, Marvel boss Kevin Feige didn’t give anything away with his coy response.

Ever since Netflix cancelled Marvel’s Daredevil series, fans have been eager to see the show revived or for Charlie Cox to be given the chance to play the hero again in the MCU.

While there have been plenty of rumours, including recent reports that the Man Without Fear will be joining Tom Holland’s web-slinger in the as-yet-untitled Spider-Man 3, Collider asked Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige directly if Cox would be coming to the MCU as Daredevil. His response kind of dodged the question:

“I look at anything that’s happened before, whether it’s our movies, whether it’s Marvel Entertainment TV series, in particular, obviously the comics, video games, cartoons, all of it is available as inspiration for the future of Marvel. That’s the way that comics have worked for many years. So, we’ll see.”

And when interviewer Steve Weintraub hinted that fans would love to see Cox back as Daredevil, apparently Feige “wouldn’t say anything. Just looked at me and smiled.”

So, read into that what you will! If it wasn’t an option, they would just come out and say it, so perhaps there is room for hope! We will have to wait and see what the future holds.
