Tropico celebrates its 20th anniversary with in-game festivities

April 22, 2021 by Andrew Newton

It’s the 20th anniversary for the beloved Tropico series and Kalypso Media are celebrating with in-game festivities arriving in Tropico 6.  The Tropico series has six games under its belt and until 5th May players of Tropico 6 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC will be able to celebrate with a selection of free content.  A special celebration video can be seen below…

El Presidente is in a happy mood as there’s new in-game decorations to brighten up the place and fireworks to light up the sky, there’s even a sparkly golden palace for the player’s El Presidente to call home.  Players will also be able to take part in a Piñata Llama hunt and seek out these cute Piñatas that are hidden around the island, hunt them down, crack them open and get some of the rewards mentioned above.

There’s two reasons to celebrate as it is also Kalypso Media’s 15th anniversary this year and they are celebrating with series of sales across the Kalypso Store, Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation Store, Microsoft Xbox ‘Deals with Gold’ and the Nintendo eShop.

Check out the items available in the Kalypso Sale and be sure to update Tropico 6 and take part in this special event.
