Open Country releases on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC

June 11, 2021 by Andrew Newton

505 Games and developer Funlabs have released their new open world arcade-style hunting game Open Country on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.  Set out with a canine friend to become a master outdoorsman in this easily accessible hunter that is ideal for casual gamers and genre enthusiasts alike.  The new launch trailer below shows would be hunters around the great outdoors…

In Open Country, take to the great outdoors as a hunter and roam three handcrafted environments with your canine companion.  Each of the three regions has their own unique weather systems from rain to shine and plants and wildlife to discover.  When it comes to travelling around, there’s a handy little ATV to help get around mountainous terrain.

There’s more than 30 missions and tasks to complete, including helping the new ranger and gathering some extra game for people who live in the region to see them get through the winter.  Completing these missions will help level up characters and give them access to better weapons and equipment.

Life in the wild isn’t straight forward and players will need to manage supplies by hunting, foraging and fishing.

Open Country is available now on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
