“London Calling” as Jason Momoa announces filming on Aquaman 2 has begun in the UK

July 19, 2021 by Matt Rodgers

Jason Momoa was basking in the English sunshine and enjoying his final day with brown hair as he announced via his Instagram account that he was to start filming on Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom imminently.

Momoa will leave dry land for the depths of a studio-lot Atlantis and hinted that he would be sporting a comic accurate blonde hairdo as he reunites with James Wan on the DC sequel, posting a video in which he said “London calling… so excited to start Aquaman 2, we are here! goodbye brown hello blondie”

Plot details for the sequel to 2018s billion dollar blockbuster are scant, although returning director James Wan has revealed that his Conjuring-honed horror sensibilities might bleed into the multicolored world established in the original film.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick from a story treatment by Aquaman himself, Jason Momoa. Momoa will once again reprise his role as Arthur Curry/Aquaman alongside Amber Heard as Mera and newcomer Pilou Asbaek (Game of Thrones) in an undisclosed role. Patrick Wilson returns as Orm/Ocean Master, Arthur’s half-brother and former king of Atlantis.
