Tom Holland reacts to new Spider-Man trilogy news: “It looks like it’s an incredibly bright future ahead”

November 30, 2021 by Matt Rodgers

Not only do we have to be thankful that we’re getting three more Tom Holland Spider-Man movies, but it appears that Amy Pascal’s announcement may also have stopped interviewers asking him about Andrew Garfield for five minutes, and instead they can bombard the current suits incumbent with questions about Spidey’s future.

With Holland swinging into Paris to promote Spider-Man: No Way Home, this has already happened on the French show Quotidien, where the presenter asked him about the breaking news that he was set to appear in the further adventures of Spider-Man, to which the perennially likeable actor responded saying:

“Next question… Listen, all I’ll say is we have some very, very exciting things to be talking about. I don’t know what those things are or what they will transpire to mean. But it looks like it’s an incredibly bright future ahead, and as I’ve said before, Spider-Man will forever live in me.”

You can check it out in the tweet below.

It also appears to be news to Holland that the announcement is out there, hence his typically giddy and excited response, although he has become a lot more savvy in keeping the MCU secrets than he used to be, which might explain the laughter.

For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.

Spider-Man: No Way Home sees Jon Watts (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home) directing Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Zendaya (MJ), Marisa Tomei (Aunt May), Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds), Tony Revolori (Flash Thompson), Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan), Angourie Rice (Betty Brandt), Jorge Lendeborg Jr. (Jason Ionello), Benedict Wong (Wong), J.K. Simmons (J. Jonah Jameson), Martin Star (Mr. Harrington), J.B. Smoove (Mr. Dell), Hannibal Buress (Coach Wilson), Jamie Foxx (Electro), Alfred Molina (Doctor Octopus), Rhys Ifans (Lizard), Thomas Haden Church (Sandman), and Willem Dafoe (Green Goblin).

Spider-Man: No Way Home is set for release on December 15th in the UK and December 17th in North America.
