Supernatural prequel The Winchesters casts Meg Donnelly and Drake Rodger as young Mary and John

March 22, 2022 by Liam Waddington

Following the announcement that The CW has given the green light for a pilot episode, it has now been revealed that the upcoming Supernatural prequel The Winchesters has added Meg Donnelly (American Housewife) and Drake Rodger (The In Between).

Donnelly and Rodger will play younger versions of Mary Campbell and John Winchester, the future parents of Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki), and will star alongside the previously announced cast members of Nida Khurshi and Jojo Fleites. The series will follow the pair’s meeting and how they put it all on the line to not only save their love but the entire world.

Although The Winchesters will be a prequel series set long before Dean and Sam were born, it has been reported that Ackles will once again be returning to the role of Dean to serve as the show’s narrator.

The Winchesters comes from the Supernatural trio of Robbie Thompson, Jensen Ackles and Ackles’ wife Danneel Ackles alongside Warner Bros. Television and CBS Studios, with Glen Winter (Supergirl) directing and executive producing the pilot episode.
