First official look at Christian Bale’s Thor: Love and Thunder villain Gorr the God Butcher comes in toy form

April 15, 2022 by EJ Moreno

The marketing for Thor: Love and Thunder has been quite strange. The press tour got underway recently, but fans are still puzzled why there hasn’t even been so much as a teaser trailer yet, especially with the film’s July release fast approaching. And now, the first look at Christian Bale’s Thor 4 villain comes from a leak… a leak of a toy.

Uncovered by Murphy’s Multiverse, we have our first look at Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher courtesy of Hasbro’s Marvel Legends Series figure, and while this isn’t the best way to judge the final look, it does seem to be at least a screen-accurate tease of what to expect.

In the film, Bale will tackle Gorr the God Butcher, an alien from Marvel comics with a teased hate for Thor and symbiote-like powers. Some fans are puzzled by the toy though, as it doesn’t sport the character’s signature black outfit and head tentacles. While not perfect, the MCU’s version of Gorr the God Butcher is still terrifying, looking like a demented alien cult leader.

Also, in the toy leak, we get a better glimpse at Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor, Thor’s “Thunderstrike” costume, and the already teased “Ravager Thor.” Check out the images from Murphy’s Multiverse via Cosmic Marvel on Twitter…
