Video Review – Ms. Marvel is Spider-Man: Homecoming meets Turning Red

June 7, 2022 by EJ Moreno

EJ Moreno with a video review of Ms. Marvel…

With Ms. Marvel’s introduction into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s confirmed the youth movement is here to stay. Starting with Spider-Man: Homecoming and expanding with Kate Bishop, the MCU seems to be heading in a younger direction. When it comes to this new Disney+ series, it helps and hinders the show’s progress.

Join EJ Moreno as he dives into the first two episodes of Ms. Marvel and explains why the show works best when it focuses less on superheroes and more on the family. Watch the review below, and be sure to follow us on YouTube for more reviews, exclusive interviews, and other video content…

“Ms. Marvel,” launching on Disney+ in Summer 2022, is a new series that introduces Kamala Khan—a 16-year-old Pakistani-American growing up in Jersey City. A great student, an avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, she has a special affinity for superheroes, particularly Captain Marvel. But Kamala struggles to fit in at home and at school—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life is easier with super powers, right?

Ms. Marvel sees Iman Vellani starring alongside Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Naki, Azher Usman, Travina Springer, Nimra Bucha, Laurel Marsden, Anjali Bhimani, Farhan Akhtar and Arian Moayed.

Ms. Marvel will premiere on June 8th on Disney+.
