Gerard Butler and Mike Cotler action thriller Plane readies for takeoff with trailer

October 28, 2022 by Amie Cranswick

Lionsgate has released the first poster and trailer for director Jean-François Richet’s upcoming action thriller Plane.

The film stars Gerard Butler as a pilot who makes a risky landing during a storm on a wan-torn island. He soon discovers that surviving the landing was just the beginning of his troubles when his passengers are taken hostage and the only person he can count on for help is Louis Gaspare (Mike Colter), a prisoner being transported by the FBI.

In the white-knuckle action movie PLANE, pilot Brodie Torrance (Gerard Butler) saves his passengers from a lightning strike by making a risky landing on a war-torn island – only to find that surviving the landing was just the beginning. When most of the passengers are taken hostage by dangerous rebels, the only person Torrance can count on for help is Louis Gaspare (Mike Colter), an accused murderer who was being transported by the FBI. In order to rescue the passengers, Torrance will need Gaspare’s help, and will learn there’s more to Gaspare than meets the eye.

Joining Gerard Butler and Mike Colter in the cast are Yoson An, Daniella Pineda, Paul Ben-Victor, Remi Adeleke, Joey Slotnick, Evan Dane Taylor, Claro de los Reyes, and Tony Goldwyn.

As yet, there’s no specific arrival date for Plane, with Lionsgate saying it is “coming soon”.
