The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers reunite for 30th anniversary special at Netflix

January 17, 2023 by EJ Moreno

You know what time it is… it’s morphin’ time! As we approach the 30th anniversary of the original Power Rangers series, Netflix is looking to take up down memorial lane with an anniversary special that promises an epic good time.

In a new upcoming Netflix special titled Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always, members of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers cast are reuniting. Walter Emanuel Jones, David Yost, Catherine Sutherland, Steve Cardenas, Karan Ashley, and Johnny Yong Bosch are all returning to suit up again and fight the forces of evil.

In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Yost says the reunion with his old cast mates was “amazing. It was such a surreal experience to be on the set of Power Rangers again after 28 years.” Jones adds, “our Ranger family runs deep.”

For the special, production says the new adventure forces the Rangers to come “face to face with a familiar threat from the past. In the midst of a global crisis, they are called on once again to be the heroes the world needs. Inspired by the legendary mantra from the franchise ‘Once a Ranger, Always a Ranger,’ Once & Always reminds everyone when you become a Ranger, you are always a part of the Ranger family and always welcome.”

EW also notes the special will features the voice of Rita Repulsa Barbara Goodson, the voice of Alpha 5 Richard Horvitz, and new addition Charlie Kersh as Minh, the daughter of original Yellow Ranger Trini. Check out the full trailer below…
