Gerard Butler is stuck behind enemy lines in Kandahar trailer

Open Road Films has released a trailer for the upcoming action thriller Kandahar.

The film reunites director Ric Roman Waugh with his Angel Has Fallen and Greenland star Gerard Butler, who plays the role of an undercover CIA operative who finds himself in danger after his mission is exposed and he must fight his way through hostile territory in Afghanistan to an extraction point while avoiding elite enemy forces; watch it below…

Tom Harris (Gerard Butler), an undercover CIA operative, is stuck deep in hostile territory in Afghanistan. After his mission is exposed, he must fight his way out, alongside his Afghan translator, to an extraction point in Kandahar, all whilst avoiding elite enemy forces and foreign spies tasked with hunting them down.

Kandahar arrives in cinemas on May 26th.
