Better Call Saul’s Rhea Seehorn joins Bad Boys 4

May 26, 2023 by Ricky Church

Deadline announced that Rhea Seehorn (Better Call Saul) is joining Will Smith and Martin Lawrence in Bad Boys 4.

Directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who directed 2020’s Bad Boys for Life, are back for the follow up with a script written by Chris Bremner. Story details are unknown, but it will presumably pick up with Smith and Lawrence’s Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett now leading the A.M.M.O. division on new and dangerous investigations.

Bad Boys 4 will see Paola Núnez, Vanessa Hudgens and Alexander Ludwig reprising their roles from Bad Boys for Life with Eric Dane (Euphoria) and Ioan Gruffudd (Harrow) joining the franchise while Tasha Smith (Empire) will take over the role of Marcus’ wife Theresa in the new instalment.

The Bad Boys franchise has proven a massive hit for Sony Pictures, netting over $841M worldwide, with each film making more than the previous entry. 2020’s Bad Boys for Life was released right before the pandemic, grossing $426.5 million worldwide, becoming the third highest-grossing January release of all time.

Bad Boys 4 is currently in production.
