Back in March, it was rumoured by Latino-Review that Chris Pine (Star Trek Into Darkness) was wanted for the role of Hal Jordan for Warner Bros.’ rebooted Green Lantern movie, before Variety announced last month that he’s actually set to play Gal Gadot’s love interest Steve Trevor in 2017’s Wonder Woman.
Well, it seems Latino-Review isn’t ready to admit defeat just yet, with the site now claiming that the Steve Trevor talk is simply a ruse, and that Pine is actually closing in on the role of Hal Jordan, who will apparently appear alongside John Stewart’s Green Lantern in the film (if reports from earlier today are to be believed).
So, is this legit, or more link-baiting speculation? Well, it seems we’ll find out at Comic-Con next month when Warner Bros. unveils the Justice League, so we won’t have long to wait until the truth comes out.
