Evangeline Lilly in talks for Marvel’s Ant-Man

February 6, 2014 by admin

According to Variety, Lost star Evangeline Lilly has entered early talks with Marvel Studios about joining the cast of Edgar Wright’s upcoming Ant-Man adaptation, with the site reporting that she is being considered for the role of Hank Pym’s daughter, and Scott Lang’s love interest.

Lilly, who appeared in last year’s The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and will be returning for The Hobbit: There and Back Again in December, would join Paul Rudd (Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues) as Scott Lang and Michael Douglas (Behind the Candelabra) as Hank Pym. It’s also said that the role “is not intended to be a one-off appearance”, which seems standard when it comes to Marvel Studios contracts.

Ant-Man is set for release on July 17th 2015.
