Ben Kingsley to play Salvador Dali in Mary Harron’s Dali Land

May 7, 2018 by Gary Collinson

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Ben Kingsley is set to play surrealist artist Salvador Dali in Dali Land, the new film from American Psycho director Mary Harron.

The film is being told through the eyes of Dali’s young assistant (Frank Dillane) as he helps the artist prepare for a big show. Lesley Manville is also on board as Dali’s domineering wife and muse Gala, while Tim Roth will play his confidant Captain Moore.

Dali Land has been written by Harron and John C. Walsh and production is set to get underway later this year. Harron meanwhile has recently wrapped filming on her next feature Charlie Says, which stars Matt Smith as Charles Manson along with Suki Waterhouse, Merritt Wever, Hannah Murray, Annabeth Gish and Chace Crawford.
