Sci-fi horror RPG Dolmen going ahead on Crytivo

May 26, 2018 by Andrew Newton

There’s a bit of a bad news/ good news situation for Massive Work Studios’ sci fi horror action RPG Dolmen.  The bad news is it sadly missed its initial Kickstarter goal, however, the good news is that the game will continue crowdfunding on Crytivo.  If you’ve not heard of them they, like Kickstarter, offers players the option to back games that interest them most but without the microtransactions, day one DLC etc.  Of course, this is a great opportunity for Massive Works to continue developing an excellent looking game.

Dolmen is a blend of science fiction and the horror style of Lovecraft and H.R Giger that will take players to the inhospitable planet of Revion Prime where they are challenged to survive against the harsh elements and nightmarish monstrosities that call the planet home including the monstrous Caniptei workers and their queen.  Described as being ‘Dark Souls meets Dead Space’, Dolmen will feature a thrilling storyline, fast paced dynamic combat with a mix of melee and ranged attacks plus scavenging and crafting skills to develop.

DOLMEN — a terrifying new Action RPG that combines futuristic Sci-Fi and Lovecraftian Cosmic Horror, set in the “SoulsBorne” RPG genre mold. You play as a lone astronaut left stranded on a forgotten planet known as Revion Prime. To survive on this hostile planet, you’ll have to adapt by mastering the game’s layered combat system, scavenge for resource and craft new items and reactors that improve your space suits’ functionality. Revion Prime is unforgiving; you’ll learn that the hard way, your journey begins in the dark.

If you want to support the development of Dolmen then you can visit the Crytivo site here.
