CIRCLE Entertainment bringing A Dark Room to the Nintendo Switch this year

August 7, 2018 by Andrew Newton

CIRCLE Entertainment has announced that they are working with Amir Rajan to bring A Dark Room to the Nintendo Switch later this year.  Based on the text based adventure originally created by Michael Townsend, A Dark Room was adapted for use on smart devices by Amir Rajan who will help bring the same charm to the Switch.

A Dark Room is a RPG text adventure that will take players through an intriguing world that starts with just one room.  The game starts with the player waking up in a cold, dark room and initially can only make light and start a fire.  As the player progresses through the game they gain the ability to collect resources, interact with strangers that enter the room and create a village.  As the game goes on the quantity of resources increases and further exploration takes place.

CIRCLE Entertainment, along with Amir Rajan have been working on the Switch version with the aim to adapt the game’s unique style to best suit Nintendo’s device.

“I have a profound love for gaming and want to push the medium to new artistic heights. Get ready to escape into a world I’ve painstakingly painted with 1s and 0s.” said Amir Rajan.

A Dark Room is set to arrive on the Nintendo Switch later this year.
