The Escapists: Complete Edition arrives on Nintendo Switch later this month

September 15, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Team 17 and Mouldy Toof Studios have announced that The Escapists: Complete Edition will be released on the Nintendo Switch on 25th September.  The Complete Edition is the most content-packed version of the game with lots of bonus maps.  To accompany this announcement, Team17 has released a new trailer which can be seen below…

The Escapists: Complete Edition will provide the ultimate escape challenge with all the prisons from the original game plus an impressive nine bonus maps, including one which has never been released on console, ‘Fhurst Peak’.

Players won’t find escape easy, they will need to adhere to a strict prison schedule, avoid the unwanted attention of guards and earn money to put their plans into action.  Money can be gained from a prison job or by performing favour requests for your fellow inmates and then traded for tools and crafting supplies.

The Complete Edition feature:

  • 15 unique prisons to escape from, including the minimal security of Center Perks and the harsh confines of the Stalag Flucht POW camp.
  • Includes all DLC packs released on other platforms including Alcatraz, Escape Team, Duct Tapes are Forever, Santa’s Sweatshop and Fhurst Peak Correctional Facility (previously a PC exclusive release).
  • Multiple ways to escape the prison, from digging out to prison takeovers.
  • 10 different prison jobs to fund your fiendish plans, including laundry, janitor, metal shop, kitchen, tailor, deliveries and gardener.
  • A deep crafting system that will see platers gather the necessary items they’ll need to craft items for their escape. Craft tools such as Cutters, Shovels, Sheet Ropes and weapons such as the Sock Mace, Comb Blade or Cup of Molten Chocolate.

The Escapists: Complete Edition will be available to download on the 25th September for £9.99 / $14.99 / €14,99.
