Peter Dinklage says it’s “hard to say goodbye” to Game of Thrones

September 19, 2018 by Samuel Brace

Peter Dinklage, one of the stars of Game of Thrones, has reflected on finishing his time with the show, sayings it’s “hard to say goodbye”.

With Game of Thrones set to release its final ever season in 2019, the actors involved, many of whom have become household names thanks to the show’s success, have had their final ever days on set.

After so many years involved with such a massive hit as Game of Thrones, it must be difficult to move on and this is just the experience that Peter Dinklage – who plays Tyrion on the show – has found.

Speaking about his last day to Indiewire following his latest Emmy win, Dinklage said: “It was very sad. This is not only a great TV show to be part of, but it was an enormous family to be part of.” He then added that it was “definitely hard to say goodbye to because it wasn’t just saying goodbye to the show, [it] was saying goodbye to a life over there.”

Fans are going through something similar in the build-up, a feeling which will surely escalate as the final season draws to an end. But how about you? Will you miss Game of Thrones and do you think the spin-off project that’s in the pipeline will help to fill the hole?
