Sony Pictures Consumer Products, Ghost Corps and publisher FourThirtyThree Inc. have announced the release of their map-based AR mobile game Ghostbusters World. This fresh take on location based AR games features iconic characters from the Ghostbusters universe.
In Ghostbusters World players follow in the footsteps of Peter Venkman, Raymond Stantz, Egon Spengler and Winston Zeddmore by battling and capturing hundreds of ghosts. All these spooks have invaded our streets from all the different parts of the Ghostbusters franchise, including the films, TV shows, comic books, video games and even new ghost types unique to this game and it is up to players to strap on their own proton pack and capture them.
Once ghosts have been captured they can be trained, teams can be assembled and battles can take place against other players in asynchronous PVP battles, or join up with four other players and take on big bosses like Mr Stay Puft. However, for those who don’t like PvP battles, players can also take part in their own personal adventure in the single player story mode.
