Degrees of Separation gets a launch trailer ahead of game’s release on Thursday

February 12, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Modus Games and developer Moondrop have released the launch trailer for their 2D puzzle platformer Degrees of Separation which is due for release on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and Steam on Valentine’s Day.  This new trailer can be seen below and showcases the game’s visually beautiful world…

In this 2D puzzle platformer, players can go solo or join with a friend to take control of two characters,  Ember and Rime.  Ember wields the forces of heat whilst Rime has the power of cold.  As these two characters, players will travel through a lush fantasy world overcoming obstacles by solving the various puzzles.    Each character has a different relationship with differing emotions to the other which will ultimately change how players must tackle each area.

Degrees of Separation features:

  • Experience a beautifully created 2D world with an immersive art style based on the aspects of the character’s contrasting temperatures.
  • Follow a poignant story by acclaimed video game writer Chris Avellone (Fallout: New Vegas) and discover the potential of dual protagonists Ember and Rime.
  • Players will navigate distinct worlds and solve cleverly designed puzzles to alter situations and surroundings.
  • The powers of Ember and Rime can be controlled in both single player and local cooperative multiplayer. Shortly after launch, there will be an online multiplayer update allowing players to play with friends around the globe.
  • Travel through diverse landscapes that each introduce a new game mechanic, weaving together gameplay, narrative and character progression.

The beautiful world of Degrees of Separation will be available on 14th February.
