James Bond will return… just not as soon as you’d thought as Bond 25 is delayed again

February 16, 2019 by Matt Rodgers

Bond 25’s journey to the big-screen has already had more twists and turns than your average Ian Fleming outing, so following Daniel Craig’s protracted ‘will he, won’t he’ saga, and the departure of Danny Boyle as director, the Official James Bond Twitter account has just announced that the release date has now been pushed back to 8 April 2020.

Originally aiming for for a November 2019 release, Cary Joji Fukunaga’s (Maniac, Beasts of No Nation) entry into the long-running franchise was then shifted to 14th February 2020 after the Trainspotting director left due to those pesky ‘creative differences’.

The change shouldn’t come as much of a surprise considering the pre-production upheaval, and with this being touted as Craig’s final mission, they’ll want to give him a decent send off to go with his gold, dart firing retirement watch.

In addition to Craig, Ben Whishaw, Ralph Fiennes and Naomie Harris are set to reprise their roles as Q, M and Moneypenny, with Spectre love-interest Lea Seydoux returning as Dr. Madeleine Swann.
