Funcom and developer Petroglyph Games have released a new developer diary video for their upcoming real time strategy Conan Unconquered. This new video, titled “What is Conan Unconquered“, tells us exactly what to expect from the game, and you can watch this below….
Conan Unconquered is set in the barbaric world of Hyboria and will see players build a stronghold and gather an unconquerable army capable of surviving wave after wave of increasingly difficult hordes of barbarians in a similar manner to They Are Billions. Players will need to manage resources such as food, gold, wood and iron, research new technologies and recruit and train an army capable of defending the stronghold. Enemies attacking the stronghold will include lowly footmen, elite troops, siege weapons, necromancers, giant snakes and scorpions and even flying demons.
The entire game can be played in single player mode but there will also be a two player co-op where players can build a shared stronghold. Both players will be able to construct a variety of buildings from temples to barracks, research upgrades , build defensive walls and build up the army.
Conan Unconquered will provide randomly generated maps that can be explored, these areas can hide ancient ruins filled with treasures but can also be the home of a powerful guardian that will need to be beat before the treasure can be claimed.
No release date is yet known for this first ever strategy game set in the world of Hyboria but what we do know is that it will be an epic strategy with single player and multiplayer modes.
