Rumour: Lady Gaga to voice Rocket Raccoon’s love interest in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

July 3, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Back in May it was reported that Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to introduce the character of Lylla, love-interest to Rocket Raccoon, and while that’s still unconfirmed at present, we now have another rumour as to who is wanted for the role.

According to Hollywood Life, Marvel and director James Gunn are keen to reunite Bradley Cooper (Rocket) with his A Star is Born co-star Lady Gaga, although a deal with the Oscar-winning singer (and Oscar-nominated actress) is yet to be made.

This isn’t the first time that Lady Gaga has been linked to a comic book movie, as Warner Bros. was said to have been keen to cast her in Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), although a subsequent rumour claimed that she had turned down the opportunity to play either the Huntress or the Black Canary.

As always with rumours like these, it may well be nothing more than speculation, but let us know if you’d like to see Lady Gaga joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe…
