Austrian retailer may have leaked Need for Speed Heat

July 30, 2019 by Liam Waddington

An Austrian retailed may have accidentally leaked the next instalment in EA’s racing franchise, revealing the next game to be titled Need for Speed Heat.

Austrian retailer Gameware (via ResetEra) had Need for Speed Heat up for pre-order for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One without a specific release date. The page also showed a placeholder box art which was based on a past marketing campaign for an update to Need for Speed No Limits. However, this page seems to have been taken down now.

The interesting aspect of this leak though is EA previously stated in a press release that a new Need for Speed instalment is currently in development. EA COO and CFO Blake Jorgensen claimed the publisher will “deliver new Plants vs. Zombies and Need for Speed titles.”

Unfortunately, that’s all the news we have regarding this new title but with Gamescom taking place between 20th and 24th August, EA may decide to official announce the game.

Do you think this will be the title of the next Need for Speed title? Are you excited for a new instalment in this franchise? Let us know in the comments below or tweet us @FMyth_Gaming…
