Puzzle platformer Robbie Swifthand and the Orb of Mysteries available now on Nintendo Switch

August 2, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Kiss Publishing and Pixel Reign have announced the release of their action puzzle platformer Robbie Swifthand and the Orb of Mysteries on the Nintendo Switch, and what better way to announce the release than with a brand new launch trailer, see below.

With a psychological-based level design, Robbie Swifthand and the Orb of Mysteries sees our unusual hero Robbie Swifthand summoned into a temple by a little spirit and tasked with retrieving three parts of the Orb of Mystery.  As the temple is filled with treasure, Robbie jumps at the chance to accept the task, although things are not what they appear.

As Robbie, players will need to run, jump and sometimes fly their way across levels to find the orb and throw it into the yellow vortex.  There’s a good variety of lethal traps to watch out for, including falling platforms, swinging axes, electricity balls and flamethrowers.  Thos who get Robbie past these traps will then need to fight one of the many bosses.

Robbie Swifthand and the Orb of Mysteries features:

  • More than 90 psychology-based levels set over four worlds.
  • A large amount of secrets to discover and unlock.
  • Unique boss fights.
  • A well thought out and humorous storyline.
  • Atmospheric soundtrack.

“We are really excited to launch Robbie Swifthand on Nintendo Switch – a perfect platform for players, to fully immerse themselves in this masochistic experience,” said Angelos Gkamiliaris, business administrator at Pixel Reign. “With psychologically maddening level design and a hefty amount of humor, it offers a polished platforming experience for all.”

“We are happy to announce that Robbie Swifthand has finally arrived to Nintendo Switch,” said Darryl Still, CEO of Kiss Publishing. “Pixel Reign have created a charming puzzle platformer that lends itself perfectly for the Switch, whether its docked or in handheld mode.”

Robbie Swifthand and the Orb of Mysteries, is now available on the Nintendo eShop for £15.99/$17.99/€17.99.
